Hey, I was born and raised a JW and my very first concepts of God and Jesus were molded by the organization.  For the first 22 years of my life I was a devout witnesses. It is the only thing I knew. At age 15 I was baptized at an assemly of around 1500 others.

I got disfellowshipped at the age of 22 for smoking, and in one day lost my family and friends, I had noone.  But I survived!  At least 3 times I have tired to become reinstated but I could never follow through.  I could not get over the injustice within the witness organization, and mistook those feelings to mean I should return to the organization, I now understand that my feelings are righous indignation and I am to work with JW's.  I'm just finishing up my book about all my experience's.  It takes courage to leave this organization and even more courage to speak out against it. I admire those individuals like yourselves who have boldly spoken out.  My mom and sister are still witnesses and mom has already labeled me an apostate just for attending a nonwitness church, she is really going to flip when she learns about the book.  In the end it's not my will, but thine will.  Thanks for being there.

Freeminds responds:

Yes Kim, it does take courage to leave the Watchtower organization and to help others to stay away from it.  We hope family matters will improve in time and your loved ones will accept the fact that you are free.  Writing a book of your experiences will help thousands of people to see just how unloving the Watchtower organization can be.  We look forward to receiving a copy and we hope you much success!

Thank you!
